KickStartCQ, along with Rockhampton Regional Council are excited to officially announce the major sponsors of the 2014 Sports and Health Expo. It is fantastic to have the WIN Network, FM Studios, Hot FM CQ and CQUniversity Community Sports Centre on board with this event.

The Sports and Health Expo is a community event aimed to encourage the Rockhampton Regional community to get involved in sport and exercise. It is a holistic initiative to help boost participation in sport, recreation and health within the Region. The 2014 Sports and Health Expo, hosted by the Rockhampton Regional Council, will be held at the Rockhampton Showgrounds on Sunday 23 February 2014.

The Expo will target all ages, particularly children, to promote involvement in sports and recreations from the grass roots level through to Masters. The Sports and Health Expo aims to:
• Increase awareness and participation in sport, recreation and health initiatives
• To boost participation in sport and recreation in the Rockhampton Region
• Provide skills to those who don’t have the opportunity to participate through coaching clinics
• Improve awareness of the importance of living a healthy and active lifestyle
• Promote sporting heroes and success stories in order to motivate up and coming or amateur athletes to achieve their best
• Promote local sports, health and wellbeing services
• Awareness of programs and projects throughout the Region
