The Queensland Government has recently opened nominations for both the 2014 Queensland Greats Awards and the 2014 Queensland Reconciliation Awards.

The Queensland Greats Awards program honours individuals and institutions whose long-term or lifetime achievements have played a significant role in the history and development of Queensland. The Queensland Reconciliation Awards program recognises businesses, community organisations, educational institutions and initiatives that are advancing reconciliation in Queensland. They could be building cross-cultural understanding through employment or training initiatives, education, partnerships or engaging with their local community. The awards offer a total of $25,000 in prize money across five categories:

  • Business
  • Education
  • Community
  • Partnership
  • Premier's Reconciliation Award
