The Central Queensland Multicultural Association (CQMA) is currently seeking Registrations from Stallholders and Entertainers/Performers/Buskers and Choir participants wishing to participate in the Association's 'Taste of the World' event.

The CQMA is a non-profit organisation that embraces cultural diversity and harmony. The organisation also connects people from vast backgrounds through shared knowledge and skills.

This occasion aims to create and foster a spirit of acceptance and understanding of all people, and reflects the strength and courage of all people when faced with life's challenges. The 'Taste of the World' event will focus on food as a medium to bring people to work and learn together.

The event is expected to attract 2000-3000 attendees and we would like to ensure there is adequate variety of stalls and entertainment for the community.

The Taste of the World event will take place:
Date: 1st June 2013
Time: 10am - 4pm
Venue: Riverside Park, Quay Street, Rockhampton.

The 'Taste of the World' activities includes a 'Master Chef' competition, a cooking competion among Community groups ' Note: home cooks are most welcome', many varieties of stalls including cultural food stalls, cultural performances and live entertainment throughout the day.

  • Stall Holders - Traditional food cruisines, drinks, ice cream and confectionaries, peanuts, aussie BBQ and much more
  • Stall Holders - Arts and crafts including woodwork, treasures (one person's trash is another's treasure) and gifts, books and clothing.
  • Stall Holders - Home grown produce, general specialty products, flowers and plants, fruit and vegetables.
  • Buskers - song, instrument, statuettes and poets.
  • Participants for our Cultural Porgram and Rockhampton Multicultural Choir.
  • Booths (stall) - Information and Education.
  • Teams for the Cooking Competition - Master Chef Team, Community Group Team and Adult/Children's Team.
