World-renowned golfing champion Greg Norman, Australia’s own ‘Great White Shark’, is visiting the Capricorn Coast this week.

Norman will be visiting the Region with Tower Holdings CEO Terry Agnew and GKI Revitalisation Plan Project Manager Anthony Aiossa.

Greg Norman Golf Course Design will be designing the 18-hole golf course as part of the Great Keppel Island Resort development, which is the first of its kind in over the 30 years in the State.

A Queenslander at heart, Norman is excited to be involved in this major tourism project back on home soil, which is set to transform Great Keppel Island into the new jewel of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef and give a real boost to tourism dollars in the state with new and quality tourism product.

Tower Holdings CEO Terry Agnew is happy to be able to celebrate the Plan moving forward and is eager to show off the beauty of Great Keppel Island to Greg Norman and his team.

“This project has been a long process, but we’re finally getting results and are really looking forward to celebrating this great step forward for Australian and Queensland tourism with the people of Central Queensland,” Mr Agnew said.

“We’re thrilled to be working with Greg Norman Golf Course Design. They’ve designed a world-class golf course and we can’t wait to see it built! It’s great that Greg can be here to see exactly what the Island has to offer and talk to the community who have been such a driving force behind its success so far.”

Locals can head down to Keppel Bay Marina on Saturday, 27th April from 1:00pm – 4:00pm to get up close and personal with the Greg and his team, who will be signing
autographs and posing for photos.
