There's something for all ages and abilities available at Hegvold Stadium over the coming months. Rockhampton Basketball Inc are providing a great range of activites to encourage members of the public to get involved in physical activity.
For the ladies there is a social competition held each Thursday from 10:00am. Women are encouraged to come along and get active in a fun and relaxed environment, there may even be an appearance from Cyclones Coach Heath Millar.
All members of the community are also invivted to attend a FREE Level 0 Basketball Referee Course on Saturday 7 September from 9:30am. This is a great opportunity for those interested in officiating basketball to get a taste of the action.
Rockhampton Basketball is also hosting a Social Competition for mixed and wheelchair teams that will be held on Sunday afternoon's from 8 September 2013. Teams need to be nominated before COB 2 September, for more information visit the RBI webiste.
The kids haven't missed out either, a 7 week Learn to Play Program will commence on Friday 9 August at 3:45pm for students from Prep through to Grade 7. The program will allow participants to learn basic basketball fun-damentals through a series of drills, mini games, and 5 on 5 basketball; developing the necessary skills to graduate to our fixtures at the conclusion of the program.
