Unwanted graffiti and illegal street art is set to vanish thanks to Rockhampton Regional Council’s new Graffiti Removal Kits.
Council is encouraging community members, sporting clubs and organisations to be on the lookout for graffiti on their private property and then contact Council for a free Graffiti Removal Kit.
Council’s Communities Committee Chair Councillor Rose Swadling said the Graffiti Removal Kit is a great initiative to help clean up our Region.
“Graffiti is illegal, unsightly and costs the community in both time and money to clean up,” Cr Swadling said.
“With Council’s support, community members can now take action straight away, ensuring their own street, neighbourhood and our Region remains clear of this unwanted eyesore.”
The Graffiti Removal Kit is available for community members who find graffiti on their own property and need help removing it.
The Kit includes special paint removal liquid and wipes, along with a brushes, a mask and eye goggles, and clear instructions on how to remove graffiti.
Community members are encouraged to report Graffiti to Council’s Graffiti Hotline on 07 4936 8368.
