Sponsored by the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service, Department of National Parks, Recreation, Sport and Racing, and organised by the Queensland Outdoor Recreation Federation, the QPWS 'It's Better Outdoors' Photo Competition, encourages photographers to focus on the diversity of Queensland's natural environments and the wide range fo recreation activities that occur within them.

The competition is free to enter and open for images taken in Queensland only. The winning images will be used by Outdoors Queensland/Queensland Outdoor Recreation Federation and the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service to highlight the benefits of outdoor recreation and the beauty of the outdoors in Queensland.

The 'It's Better Outdoors' photo judges as 'most outstanding' - whatever it is and wherever in Queensland (people outdoor spaces, outdoor activities) will be the QORF Overall Winner and the photographer presented with an award and prizes at the Queensland Outdoor Recreation Awards Dinner on Friday October 25th, 2013 at the Greek Club in West End.
