Each year, the Heart Foundation's Jump Rope for Heart attracts over 400,000 school students, in over 2,000 schools around the country! - we've given Australian schools enough rope to stretch from Australia to Hawaii!
The Jump Rope for Heart is all about learning how to keep fit and healthy while improving kids' strength and confidence in physical activities and building healthy bones and muscles. Students can have lots of fun with their class mates and play lots of skipping games too. At the same time they will be helping save Australian lives by asking their family and friends to sponsor them for being a part of this fun program. Funds raised go towards research to help the fight against heart disease and stroke.
Since its inception 30 years ago, more than 90 per cent of all Australian schools have participated in Heart Foundation Jump Rope for Heart, with over 8 million school children involved in fun physical activities, while learning about healthy living and raising vital funds to support the fight against cardiovascular disease.
