There are many different opportunities available right across the Rockhampton Region, to help you achieve your goals - You just have to know where to look!

Get connected at the Lane 4 Aquatics 2013 Sports and Health Expo, Sunday 24 February 2013 with local sport and recreation club, gyms, health service providers, and other organisations!

Hosted by Rockhampton Regional Council through the KickStartCQ initiative, this FREE fantastic family day has something for everyone with heaps of relevant information on how to create and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

With great displays showcasing a variety of sports that the Rockhampton Region has to offer, engaging demonstrations from local health services providers and amusement rides; there is something for everyone.

Its also a perfect opportunity for parents within the Region, to bring their children and find out about the range of sporting programs that are available. Who knows, you might just be surprised as to what is out there!

Over 70 exhibitors will be at this year's expo.

Exhibitors include Runaways Netball Club, Gracemere Little Athletics, Rockhampton Formula K Kart Club, Rocky Trials Club, Australian Air League, AustSwim, Rockhampton Hockey Association, Rockhampton BMXClub, Mass Nutrition, Junior Rugby League, White Tiger Kung Fu and so many more.

Vector Health, in cooperation with the Central Queensland Capras, will also be facilitating the Rockhampton's Fastest Person Competition on the day. For those who are up to it, times will be recorded over a 40 metre sprint and the fastest person from each category will battle it out at half-time n a Capras game to see who will be crowned Rockhampton's Fastest Person.

Now in its sixth year, the annualy Sports and Health Expo aims to help the local community discover what is available and provide a convenient opportunity to become involved creating and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

So if you have made a resolution to improve your health and well-being in 2013 but got off to a rocky start, or are looking to get involved in a local sport or recreation club, come along to the Sports and Health Expo on Sunday 24 February from 9:00am - 1:30pm in the Robert Schwarten Pavilion at the Rockhampton Showgrounds and learn more about what options are out there, you'll be surprised!
